... Stegreif is convinced of this. The early protective measures to combat the Coronavirus pandemic presented the entire cultural sector with a major challenge. With the #made-to-measure series, the Stegreif Orchestra responded to these measures and hygiene regulations with innovative, networked music-making, new spatial concepts and interactive online concerts. This resulted in customised concert solutions: live - digital - hybrid.
Within the framework of this series, two very distinct live formats were created on the 21st of October 2020 at the Konzerthaus Dortmund and on the 1st of November 2020 at the Kassel Music Days in the Dokumentahalle. In December 2020 the concert series digital.chamber – 360° virtual reality concerts was created, as well as our first chamber music programme: #freemahler - what the earth tells us, which premiered on the 29th of November 2020 as an interactive online concert via Zoom.
