Why?
Nine years ago, we at Stegreif started to unleash classical music. But as an organization, we are shackled by extreme financial pressure and uncertainty, especially in times of cutbacks in the cultural sector. In order to stand on stage with 30 people, we need considerable financial resources to pay all artists and staff fairly. The longing for depth that drives us in our work and fascinates our audience requires a structure that is not driven by short-term, constantly new projects.
What is our goal?
To finance the structural costs of the orchestra, such as office rent, advertising costs, etc. and the payment of the musicians according to minimum fee recommendations, we need basic funding of 100,000 euros for the calendar year 2025. We want to achieve this amount through regular financial support from the Stegreif Family. The Stegreif Family is a community of Stegreif fans who want the orchestra to continue to exist and are willing to take responsibility through their financial contribution.
We need you!
Join the Family and help us reach our goal of 100,000 euros. For example, we need 300 people who contribute an average (!) of €333 per year or €27 per month. You are free to choose your membership contribution and every euro helps!

Family membership is informal and does not involve any obligations. All contributions are donations to Stegreif e.V. and are tax-deductible; your membership is valid for one year from the date of joining and is automatically extended for a further year if you do not object.

As a non-profit organisation, donations to Stegreif e.V. are tax-deductible. For donations of 300€ or more, you will of course receive a donation receipt if you include your German address and the term 'donation' in the reason for payment. For donations under 300€, proof of payment is sufficient for recognition by the German tax authority.
