PLAY_FULL - ein improvisiertes Werkstattkonzert

Since its inception, Stegreif has been exploring how classical music and improvisation fit together, not only through its own artistic productions, but also through music education projects with young musicians. In the play_full project, the Stegreif Orchestra has taken on a one-year mentorship for two youth orchestras for the first time: the Symphonieorchester des Gymnasium bei St. Stephan in Augsburg and the Landesjugendensemble Neue Musik des Landesmusikrats Berlin. As part of this mentororship, Stegreif is passing on its knowledge of individual and group improvisation, re-composition and performance practice. The young aspiring professional musicians are intensively supervised and coached by five members of the Stegreif Orchestra in a total of three workshop phases. The musical results of this project, which the young people have largely shaped themselves, are now being presented in this very special workshop concert.
